Restoring means in my trade to often reparing the damages of a burglary. In most cases I am confronted with damaged wood of doors and windows. A commonly heard story is that the old craftsmanship is dying out. Even in my trade in most cases the old lock is replaced with a new one. To often a waste. In most cases reparing the old lock is much more efficient. In nine out of ten the lock will be restored as new.
